Home Network
I just set up a home network with a desktop (Windows ME) and laptop (Windows XP). Can someone tell me the best way to keep my files up to date on both computers? Should I work off the shared drive? If so, which computers are these files actually shared on? Thank you for your help.

If you share a drive the files will be located on the computer you choose. Both computers have the capibility to shave drives, however I would put the share on the XP machine because its a bit more stable than ME (IMO)
And yes without getting into third party software this will be the best way to keep your information up to date. |
