How to connect to web server hosted on a machine connected to ADSL with no public IP?
I am having an ADSL line from my telco. I don't have any public IP address for this line but my system is connected through provided ADSL router to the telco's gateway and is having a private IP address. I want to host a web server on my machine but I can not connect to my machine (and thus this web server) from the outside. How can I do that? Any configuration I've to make for ADSL router? I don't want to purchase a leased line.
With PSTN line connected internet, web server is being connected perfectly and with no-ip dynamic DNS update client I am getting rid of dynamic IP address. Thanks and Regards Atif |

You posted this question in another topic which I've now deleted - please don't post your question more than once in the future.
Anyway, to setup a web server to be accessible from the Internet, you must have a publically available IP address. I'm a bit lost in your setup, but where ever you have the Internet connection, you need to setup port forwarding to your local server. You need to make sure that port 80 (for a web server) is opened and forwarded to the local network address of your web server. |
