How to delete network connection in xp
I used the network setup wizard before I knew what I was doing. I would like to delete the "network connection" I created and start over. Have tried everything logical but the "delete" option is not functional.
Is it possible to delete? |

You can't really delete network connections. In the Network Connections section of the Control Panel, you will be shown all the connections currently connected to your computer. You can right-click and select Disable, and that will stop them from working. Or, you could just remove the NIC.

need to change or delete a connection
Hi
Thanks for confirming what I've found - that you can't delete the wretched things. BUT - what if that connection is now defunct (to a work network) and I want to set up a connection to my home network? Windows won't let me make any changes to the connection. It also won't let me create a new connection. All I'm doing is connecting two PCs with an ethernet cable. One PC picks it up no probs, the other - with the work LAN connection - refuses to co-operate. Please help! Archsweet |

Just disable the work LAN connection so that you are left only with the one connection for your home network.
