i need to code simple peer2peer chat client. language prefered would be C,C++,JAVA for Win or Linux
please help me out

Which of these are you most proficient with? Which OS (Windows or Linux) do you have the most programming experience with?

Buy a book on "Writing network applications with (your language here)" and read it. Post any specific questions you might have in the appropriate forum for that language.
