How to test the link speed of DDN leased line?
Hi,
I have 64k DDN Leased line's from the telecom. Sometimes they work fine and sometimes the connection get's very slow, and the user's find difficulty in using the oracle application over the leased line. I usually check the response time of ping command. Is there any other way that I can find the speed of the link. Please help me, if you can. I thank you in advance for your kind help. Regards... Shafi. |

Talk to your provider. They should be able to monitor the line for a week and give you a bandwidth utilization report.
You can approach it on the pretense of maybe you need to buy more bandwidth but you need to know what you are utilizing now. PS. 64k is a glorifed modem line. Not a whole lot of bandwidth. |
