How: Transfer Files From Laptop To Pc ..by using a Network and my Router
Hi..
I recently bought a new Laptop and I want to transfer my files (mostly family vids and pics) from the old Desktop I'm using to this Latptop. Both computers are running on Windows XP SP2 and i heard that other people use Home Network (workgroups/file and printer sharing) and that allows them to share a file from one computer to another. So here's the setup: Desktop - connected to the Router/Modem through a CAT5 cable (wired). Laptop - connected to the Router/Modem wirelessly. My Router/Modem is - ProLink H9300G Can someone help me or guide me on how to make a Workgroup that'll allow me to transfer big files from my old desktop to this new laptop. Thank you! You'll save me lotsa time and work. |

If you go into Help and Support off the Start menu and type in "network wizard" Run the network wizard and follow the instructions. Answer no to sharing internet when asked.
