How: Transfer Files From Laptop To Pc ..by using a Network and my Router
Hi..
I recently bought a new Laptop and I want to transfer my files (mostly family vids and pics) from the old Desktop I'm using to this Latptop. Both computers are running on Windows XP SP2 and i heard that other people use Home Network (workgroups/file and printer sharing) and that allows them to share a file from one computer to another. So here's the setup: Desktop - connected to the Router/Modem through a CAT5 cable (wired). Laptop - connected to the Router/Modem wirelessly. My Router/Modem is - ProLink H9300G Can someone help me or guide me on how to make a Workgroup that'll allow me to transfer big files from my old desktop to this new laptop. Thank you! You'll save me lotsa time and work.

If you go into Help and Support off the Start menu and type in "network wizard" Run the network wizard and follow the instructions. Answer no to sharing internet when asked.
