This is my first post on this forum so bare with me.
My setup and problem. I have laptop running linux pulling in Internet through wireless card. Laptop forwards internet through onboard ethernet card (192.168.2.1) connected to a router. Router (WAN Address 192.168.2.2.) distro's internet to my xbox (192.168.3.3) and another computer (192.168.3.4) which both have live internet connections. Xbox is running an FTP server. My problem, is that I can't FTP to the xbox from my laptop. I'm sure it's something simple. Can someone give me a shove in the right direction? |

Does the router have a firewall on it? You may need to add an exception for you laptop to touch that ftp server.

What I had to do was disconnect the laptop from the uplink port and move it to one of the lan ports, converting the router into a switch. And then change the gateway address of the LAN (Router) to match the laptops forwarded gateway address. Thanks anyway guys. |
