I need help to shutting down any computer in LAN using WinXP
Were using WinXP on our Network and i want to be able to shutdown any computer in the Network. I can still use the command prompt right? Anyways if i can how? Also what if its blocked can i still shut it down...? One last questions..I want to do net send... send message to another user in a network how do i do that in WINXP thanks alot all...

Thanks alot edwin, I've only been in here for close to an hour and i got ur reply.. THanks so much..by the way the 192.168.0.x <<<<<-----do i type tht and and i have to use the QUOTATION right? thanks....

You replace 192.168.0.x with whatever the IP address is of the other computer. So, you may use 192.168.0.5 or if you're on a different subnet it might be like 10.0.0.5. You have to place the message is quotation marks if it's more than one word long (so its got a space in it).
