I time transfer of files from old computer to new
I've read through the archives and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I need to transfer a lot of pictures from a WIN98 computer to a WINXP unit. I've got a crossover cable but it still is not working. Do I have to connect to the internet to do this? I'm on a cable modem through my NIC card, so do I need a hub or not? I was told it could be done straight across from Ethernet to Ethernet. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks and Merry Christmas all!
