IIS routing

fist of all i knor there are many topics already posted relating to this but none that actually address the issue ppl are having.. so plz bare with me.

i am sharing a cable internet connection, im using a Pentium 120 with win2k installed. i then have 2 nic in that one to the modem the other to a hub with the other computer connect to. everything works fine no problems.

but i need to know i can view a website set up using IIS on one of the leeching computers and not the P100 server itself.
if i type in the internet ip i jst get the iis page on the p10. ive tried using redirection script but i cannot redirect to a newtor address or host name. the onli thing i can think of is to map a netwrok drive on the server and set iis to point to that directory instead of the default wwwroot. im have not tested this and i am ery reluctnant to use this method, due to the obviouse processor speed problem of the server.

ive read about porting? but i am not sure how to implement it wina win2k system, instead of a physical router.

i would like not to have to install a domain controller with win2k advanced server. taht is too much hassel for little gain. i would like to try N keep my server system in tact.

any ideas?

Your explanation is too vague.
- What is your routing setup?
- What is your domain setup? Do a search on DNS, Hosts file , FQDN
- Do a search on port forwarding, TCP IP , Multihomed
- Draw a diagram of what you are trying to achieve.

i am running win2k with 2 nics.
on to the cable modem, the otehr to a hub, which 2 otehr computer are connected to. let call them pentium and amd.
i was to set up amd to that its iis can be view outside teh network. but the AMD machine dose not have the internet ip, so i cannot view it outside teh network.

the win2k router machine has no dns im jsut using ISC and have user DHCP ip address on the otehr machines.
