info about worms
Is there a list somewhere of the ports on which worms like Sasser, MSBlaster and the like operate on? I mean, if I run C:\ netstat -a and see a bunch of listening TCP Connections for ports like 5000, 3001,3002,3003, or 16329, is this an indication that there is malware running behind them? What port activity should I be looking for?

Have you read all the info on this site www.grc.com Try the 'Shields up' port probe to see which ports your computer is showing the world and whether they are closed or stealth. There is a heap of info about worms and hacking on this site.
