hi
my problem is that it has taken me 4 days to set up my network,even though i had to format both computers to this. anyway my problem is my host computer has AOL broadband modem connected via USB and it has 1 eathernet card, the client just has 1 eathernet card. the client computer can detect the internect connection, i can see the internet gateway enabled all my firewalls are disabled, but wen i open the browser on the client computer the browser just dont connect, i have enabled internet sharing and all the ip addresses are perfect but the browser just will not connect. i am using AOL9.0 plz help |

Make sure that you've shared the Internet connection on the main computer and that Internet Connection Sharing is enabled. Check that the second computer has its default gateway set to the IP address of the first computer.

the gateway is fine it shows the hosts ip address, AOL site dont help becasue i am not using a router just 2 computers oined together peer-peer, anymore ideas i would really apreciate it.

So what does happen when you open your browser? Are you sure that you're using an account which allows home networking? What error do you get in your browser? Is it a DNS error?
