ip problem

Everyone fines...
With a 4-port router (ip : 192.168.x.x) and a 8-port hub.
To share 6 pc's (os: XP) 5 of them success connect and sharing Internet, but unfortunate 1pc can't. I think the reason is the ip(162.254.80.x) can not be removed and that's why can't share Internet, but changing another router there is no problem, why ?
Thanks.

Well, I believe you are correct about the ip address. You need to change the ip address on the problem computer to the same ip range as the other computers.

Like thedude said, change the IP on the PC that's having the problem to the same IP range as the others.

Maybe you're getting an automatic IP address assigned by windows when your network card is set to use dchp but when you start the computer you can't access any dhcp server. Often getting this address is caused by a cable/hardware problem or incorrect nic drivers.

The ip range this computer is getting, is the range that windows assigns itself when it can't find an external dhcp, or isn't assigned a static ip.

It could be a hardware problem, or something wrong with the nic in windows.
