laptop keep on conecting to different wireless network??
Hi all,

I have a U.S. Robotic 8054 router or something like that at home. The signal is always strong but I used open WEP with key for protection. I hooked my PC to one of the 4 port using ethernet cable. Everything is cool, but my laptop keep on getting weak signal from the other house around us. And I don't know why but it somehow interfere with my network and causing my laptop to lost connection. Can anyone help me with this issue??

make sure you have a different SSID, disable broadcasting of the SSID so your neighbors dont see it (if possible), under wireless networks | advanced uncheck "automaticly connect to non preferred networks" make sure only you SSID is listed in the preferred networks. Also you may want to use WPA if you have support for it apposed to WEP.

The things is that I alredy uncheck "automaticly connect to non preferred networks" but it still conecting to the other people's network...ahhhhhhhhh.
