large home network with two wireless routers
Here is my delimma... I have broadband internet and it goes to my first wireless router.... and from there it goes to one computer and a server through wires... i have my computer and a few laptops on the wireless connection up stairs and i want to hook up my other wireless router to my computer with a wire so i can broaden my wireless range and have the swich here too... my computer has the wireless card and a wired card....
i dont even know if it is possible to do this but any help would be appreciated. thanks |

You would not need a wireless router to do this. The second router wouldn't be handling the Internet at all, so a wireless access point would be more appropiate. But if you connect your wireless router to the PC with a wired connection, you should be able to use the router as a wireless access point. On the same PC you'll have another wired connection going to the main router. You'll need to create a bridge between these two wired connections (as long as you have XP) and the wireless network should be extended.
