Linux/easydns.com/Linksys Router Question

I have a Linksys router that gets it dns server names and a dhcp address from my ISP. The
name servers cannot be changed when you login to the Linksys router.

I have 2 Linux boxes and 1 Windoze box behined the router each given static 192.168.x.x
addresses.

The 1 Linux box and 1 Windoze box each have the same dns addresses as the router does,
added in manually. These machines can load pages, ping, traceroute etc etc.

The other Linux machine uses dns numbers given to me when I login to easydns.

They are added in to resolve.conf. This machine can ping google but not yahoo or any
other domain that does not have icmp blocked. Also when running a traceroute to google the
trace stops on the 18th hop and then I see astricks.

Is there a problem with using other dns addresses on a computer, behind a router that grabs address from
it's provider?

I would suggest not using the easydns on the Linux box having the issue. Use same DNS as the other machines. Also you need to set the router as your gateway.
