Local webserver visible as www.site.lan?
Hi everybody!!!,
i just wanted to ask this: We are gunna start a lan-party in march, because we are going to run a local webserver we wanted to make the adress of the site like: URL and the forum: forum.lanparty.lan, because i need it soon and i don't know how to start with this i gunna ask all the nice guy's to help me out a little,thanks in advance. spekkie (sorry for bad english if you found some faults) |

You'll need to set up a DNS server on the lan that understands the .lan TLD. It won't work from an external computer unless .lan has been added to the official Internet TLD's.
