Monitoring Wireless Access Point Throughput
Hey guys, new to Dev Shed, couldn't find a "Welcome" area so decided to just jump into it. I am a Junior Sys Admin for a startup tech company in Canada. I'm trying to find away to use Zenoss (openSource SNMP monitoring software) to measure the usage going through each of our WAP's. Wondering if anyone knows of a way through SNMP or if there is standalone software anyone knows of to do such a thing? Thanks in advance.

My knowledge of SNMP is pretty limited, but I think that this would totally depend on what operating system / firmware your WAP's are running.

You'll probably have to use SNMPwalk to got through the entire MIB on the WAP and see what's available to you. I'm sure there are several MIB entries that you could monitor and with a little math, determine the amount of traffic going through the WAP.
