need help please 2 get on internet through network
ok me and my sister have rooms next to each other and we run 1 cable through the wall to each computer, now we both HAD windows xp and we were both networked and on the internet fine .. but then i had to reformat my computer and now i have windows 2k pro, and she still has windows xp .. and she is on the internet (her computer is the main computer that connects to the internet to get my computer on the internet when we both had xp)
we just got my computer running and we have it networked fine, we can share files and such, but when my sis connects to the internet, my computer doesnt go on the internet???? .. can someone give me exact places to where to go to get my computer on the internet.. we cant figure it out, we are on dial-up thanks Last edited by spencer : February 8th, 2004 at 10:22 AM.

How are you guys connected? Are you both connected to a router inside a cable or DSL modem? Please explain your setup a bit better and we'll be able to help more.
