Network help Linux rh8 & WinXP
Hi i am new to networking and i am not sure what is going on.

I have a box running Windows XP and another box running Linux RedHat 8

I have got the two boxes networking but i cannot workout how to access my linux files from myWinXP box

and when i try to acess my web server from WinXP and Internet Explorer 6 when i type in the name of my box it comes up with "Page can not be displayed" but if i use the IP address of the box it works perfectly

If any one knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated

For the first problem, try reading through these website:

For the second problem you may need some form of DNS server to translate the comptuer name to an IP address.
