network not able to connect to router
hi,
i have a adsl modem/router and everything works fine with 1 computer connected. when i connect the rest of the network (20 pcs) looks like everything's crowded and no one has access to the internet... dns resolve but no ping, no web, no email... is there any program i can use to trace the problem... i was told that one of the workstations might be causing the problem, flooding the router with too much traffic (some sort of virus maybe?) any suggestion would be very appreciated. thank you. |

Try adding additional computers one at a time.

the easiest way is to use ethereal and sniff all the packets going into the routers inside interface. korgo virus is natorious for dropping routers and or firewalls in this fasion.
