network problem
hi,
i just bought a linksys BEFSR41 router and i have some problems. There's a switch after my router i have 3 computers on the network and the three can navigate on the internet and two of them can see each other but the two can't see the server which is connected directly on the router. i tried connecting one of the two working computers directly on the router and i still see him on the network. What i want is to see the three computers on the network. Any ideas why i can't see the server? i can ping him. i'm using windows 2000 Please help!! |

You don't have the server plugged into the uplink port do you. Done this myself once when I wasn't looking what I was doing properly.

What happens if you plug the server directly into the switch?
(there's no real need to plug it directly into the router, is there?) |
