I am trying to setup my 2 PCs on a network. PC 'A' is running Win2k Pro and PC 'B' is running Win XP Pro. I have a Netgear router to link to the internet. I setup the Win Xp PC and created the Network diskette, then went to the Win2K PC to run 'Netsetup' install but get message "Network Wizard' only runs on Win 98, 98 SE, ME and XP. What about 2K??

You cannot run the winxp netsetup on win2k but What you can do is to configure both systems to commmunicate using TCP/IP and make sure that enablenetbios over TCP/IP )under Advanced/wins tab) is selected.
That should help |
