Networking with hub that connects dsl
I have two computers that connect to the internet. Basically they connect to a hub which gives them a direct connection to the DSL modem.
However I was wondering if it is possible to network the two computers together through the hub that connects them to the internet or would it require a second hub and network cards. THanks in advance for any advice |

Can that hub act as a DHCP server? If so, setup the clients to automatically pick up an IP address. Otherwise, set the workgroup name for the both computers the same and give both computers static ip addresses and set their subnets.
For example: computer 1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 ip_address: 192.168.0.1 computer 2 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 ip_address: 192.168.0.2
