New network
I currently am running a home network of 3 comps running winxp pro and sharing an internet connection with a linksys router. My question is what all would I need to upgrade to run a 1000MB network. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, you'll need NICs in each computer that support 1Gbps, a switch that supports 1Gbps and cable which supports the faster speed. CAT6 definitely does, and I'm pretty certain that CAT5 cabling should also work with this speed.
