Angry New to netwrking

I'm new to networking (though not to computers) and have had a nighmare day trying to setup s imple peer to peer network using two computers with XP pro and two Belkin 54g Wirelss Desktop pci cards. All seems to be set up - I've green lights all over th eplace In the diags screens to says the network is found, signal strength is fine etc, however, try and ping either box and no joy. There must be something fairly simple I've missed but I don;t know what! I've checked IP add's etc and they all seem fine. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

New to netwking doesn't describe the problem in summary you intend to ask.
Start here and learn how to post a question. Next time you start a new topic, be sure to use a smart subject title.

If yer just doing peer-to-peer...

you mentioned you checked IPs...but what did you check them for?

Try this

192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2

Make sure Subnet MAsk is same on both

255.255.255.0
