Novice Netwoking Help

Hey All, Ok, let me start by explaining the I have 3 pc's with XP Pro installed on each machine.
My problem is that one of the computers (CLIENT), when i "SEARCH FOR COMPUTER", the HOST/MASTER computer is displayed, but i am unable to acces the contents of the computer..... it comes up with some message about not having permission and unable to find location, also im unable able to access the internet. but i am able to gain acces 2 another CLIENT computer on the network" from this machine. (which rules out cable or hub/pci adaptor problems)

The xp firewall is disabled, have run the network wizard mutiple times.

Will be glad of any help/advice from anyone

Many thanks.

p.s Hope that makes sence to you all.

TO Venom908

I did somthing real dumb, I had my master computer connected to the uplink port andd my other two computers connected to ports 1 & 2.

I corrected this problem by pluging my master computer to port 1 and my other two computer to ports 2 & 3.

Hope you have not made the same mistake as me. $)

Good luck mate
