Print server should have come with a cd. There is a intel print utility. You may be able to download it from intel's web site. Use this to configure the print server from a workstation. Once configured you can print to it.

Do you have some sort of DHCP server running on your network (on your router perhaps)? Can you go to that and see if an IP address has been assigned to a printer server?

Actually thinking about it, the printer server is likely to have a static IP address (or you'd not be able to print to it if its IP address changed). You just need to find what IP address this has been set to, then typing that into IE should give you the web based setup. I don't know if perhaps all Intel print servers get set to something by default. Perhaps a manual or user guide would tell you this...

yes i have been searching for the manual but cannot find anything
i will email the seller and see if they know but i think that this utility i have is meant to find the print server automatically....doh....if i knew it was going to be this hard i would have saved up for a new one !!! any other suggestions for me to try while i am trying to find out if there is an IP address for it? cheers RF |

Well you need to know its IP address somehow, because that's what you'll need to use to configure it through the web based setup, and you'll need it when adding a new printer to the computers.
You could just use a program to search through all Ip addresses and see if it finds anything. |

well the program i got searchs the network for 'print servers' and then there are options to add printers so i am thinking that there is not a web based one but it is controlled through this program....i could be wrong tho
