problem with ip lease

I got a problem my ntl broadband ethernet router drops the lease of my ip randomly.
i get disconnected from the net and i have to manually renew it every 30 minutes via winipcfg

the router just doesnt renew the ip lease automaticly.
so i have renew it manually every time. it used to be a 24 hour lease, what should i do to fix this?
