Questions around my 1'st Network setup

Hi!
I'm completly new in this Network-field and hope to get some help.
Please give me some good advise!

My wish is to connect 2 stationary pc's standing close to each other at my 2'nd floor and one in at the 1st floor. The 4'th computer is a laptop that I want to be able to use wireless, both inhouse and just outside the house.

It's 10-15 m from the PC-desk to the outside place that will be used.

Q1.) Will a wireless Router be able to handle such distance with normal antenna or should I go for a router with separate antenna? If antenna is needed, how strong gain should it have?
Suggestions of brand would be nice...

Q2.) I would prefer to use a Router with printer outlet for 2 printers, do these exist? Or could one printer outlet be splited? If so how should they be connected then?

Q3.) One is a laser and the 2'nd a "All In One-printer" with scanner function. Is it possible, at all, to connect such a printer to a printeroutlet when I would like to keep the scanner function? Or how should I progress?
I would prefer to be able to print with any of the 2 printers without starting anyone more then the one in use.

Even answers on only one of my Q is appreciated

It should easily be able to handle 10-15 metres. The Netgear wireless equipment is quite good.

To get printers on a network, you need to either connect them to a machine that is left on all the time, use a print server (a little gadget that you plug your printer into which connects it straight to the network), or connect the printer straight to the network if it has a network port on board.

If you connect the all in one device to a PC or if you connect it directly to the network, you'll definately be able to use all its functions. I'm not sure if they'll all work with the print server. The printer's software and documentation should provide some information regarding networking issues.

If there is interference with the wireless you can get boosters or repeaters also they make wireless print servers so you dont need cabling to your printer.

I have used D-link B series to connect 1 PC @ basement to 2 computers ( with wireless PCI card Dlink ) on the second floor. Worked fine. Make sure you buy Wireless G series no B series router as it is the latest standard. Also, try to keep the router on the top floor as i heard it transmits data in a "cone shape"..but i am not sure though.. 'cos my set up worked ( router in the basement and clients on the second floor)

You can buy a router with print (USB) port Dlink 604UP and hook up an external 2port USB device into the USB port and hook 2 printers . try it and post your comments

I understand you already have the printers, if so use the drivers and point your PC to use the network printer using the USB port and not the regular communication ports
I would prefer to be able to print with any of the 2 printers without starting anyone more then the one in use.

I sold this printer the other day ( in my work) have a look at this and suggest to any friends in the future. It has RJ-45 (2) ports and 1 Wireless connectivity and regular USB ports in it.

One more input. My WAP handled my PDA out to about 300 ft, which was twice what I expected.

One DOES wonder about directionality, since the spacing of the antennae is in the neighborhood of a wavelength. There was no information regarding this in my documentation.
