Remote access

Hello I have a home network, and want to know if it is possible to have a CPU hooked up to it, but controlled from other machines on the network. What I want to do is have CPU plugged into the network, but with no monitor, keyboard or mouse. I want to run programs like winamp and play music out of that box, by accessing it from any of the other machines in the house.

Is this possible? Can someone point me in the right direction to try and figure this out? Thanks!

That should be fine. Once you've setup the computer, you should be able to boot up with out a keyboard/monitor/mouse. If you want to access music stored from a share located on that computer, you should just be able to browse to \\computername\share to find the music. If you want to actually be able to use the computer remotely, you'll need to have some sort of remote control software. You can easily search Google to find this, or if you're using XP Pro, then you can use the in-built Remote Desktop Connection feature.
