Remote backup
Hello there,
I'm in the following situation: I have two networks connected to the Internet on different physical locations. I want to transfer a daily backup from one network to the other using the Internet.
I have tried simple FTP backup but it doesn't work very well, as there is a huge amount of files to be backed up once and then only a few files a day.
The client computer (the one to be backed up) is running Windows 2000 Terminal Server and the destination network has a Red Hat Linux gateway and a Windows 2000 server running behind it (which makes it possible to use either Linux or Windows as the server OS).
I have heard somebody suggesting AMANDA, but I am not quite sure if it is possible to back up a W2k Terminal Server with that tool.
I hope there is some of you out there who can help me - any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Yoel Pedersen
