Router Slow with Bittorent
Hi Folks. I have a netgear wgr614 router, set up with port forwarding(6881-6889) to my PC 192.168.0.2. My downloads speeds for bittorent are quite slow- around 5kb/s. What am i missing? Thanx. much appreciated. |

Try to forward more port to your pc....since lots of torrents use diff. port and also it's all depend on the number of seeders and their bandwith...

BitTorrent is the worst possible way to test the speed of your connection. You should try some online test like the one on DSL reports to get a reasonable estimate. There are too many factors involved in BitTorrent connections that are not under your control.

Thanx.
What i did was try a new client. I tried azureus instead of ABC and my d/l speed jumped from 5kb/s to 90kb/s. Not sure why. I have 6881-6999 forwarded. Wierd. ![]() |
