Serial over Tcp/IP
I need to be able to access a device connected to the serial port of a machine running Windows NT. I will need to access this port remotely from a windows 2003 server machine over a LAN. Does anyone have an idea on how to accomplish this task?

Go for Digi PortServer....
I have used Digi PortServers to do this task. Check this out:

I am looking for a software solution like (TCP-COM from taltech www.taltech.com). This program works perfectly, but I am looking for the same thing, but something that will cost me nothing or very little.

Do you need it to be accessed without user intervention (e.g. by software)? Or will you use a program yourself? If the latter, why not use terminal services, remote desktop, or something similar and access the port directly once connected to the remote desktop?
