[Server 2003] Network connection
Well heres the problem.... 2 machines each running server 2003, i cant access 1 from the other, they can ping and such, ... there is a setting someplace that i need to enable something along the lines of "allow users in network to access this computer" or something like that, i tried searching for it, but could not find it, i think it may be this...if u have any other suggestions then they are gladly appreciated...
ps. if i boot in xp then the shared files can be accessed...so that leads me to believe that there is a security option someplace that i need to enable. TIA TIA TIA TIA TIA |

What do you mean by "can't access"? Check in the Local Security Policy, Local Policy, User Rights Assignment that the top entry "Access this computer from the network" contains the group or username of the account you're using. Also check that on both computers you're using an account with exactly the same username and password.
I don't think this is the case, but just check the Internet Connection Firewall is not enabled on the network connection. |
