Sitecom router network

I've got 2 computers, which are both connected to the internet through a sitecom router. This connection works fine.

I have a problem with setting up a LAN as the computers can't communicate with each other. They can ping to the router but not to each other. I tried using the wizard but it didn't work. Firewall's turned off. The whole C: station is shared on one computer and according to another post I should be able to ping to it without needing the same account on both computers.

When I ping to the other computer I get the error message 'can't find network path'

How could I fix it?

You don't say which OS you're using, so I'll guess 2000 or XP. Could you click Start, Run and type "ipconfig /all > C:\ipconfig.txt" (without the quotes). A black screen will flash up, then go to Windows Explorer and find the file ipconfig.txt. Open it and copy it into your next post. Also do this on the second computer.

Oh well, it was for my neighbours and he got it working himself now. Just as when we called the helpdesk as to why the configuration wouldn't work and after the call it suddenly worked (and we didn't change settings in the conversation)

Thanks for the help!

He asked someone else as well. But he had to set some XP settings and I don't have XP so. The other time had something to do with calling into adsl which I'm still not sure why he does it but he claims it won't work otherwise. The connection menu was blocking sites from loading and we closed it after we called the helpdesk
