Glad you've got things working again.
In most of my networks, I find it a pain to install firewalls on each individual computer, as they often cause me more pain than security. I just make sure that the computer with the Internet connection is securely configured with a strong firewall and leave the other computers alone. |

David, I like Shields Up - I've used it a number of times in the past. After installing a firewall or opening a port for a web server etc, I always like to just check that the only ports open to the Internet are the ones that I know about. It's also reassuring, especially when it says the bit about "Your system has achieved a perfect "TruStealth" rating"

Oh yeah - and I also use it to check my IP address (although www.whatismyip.com is also good)
