Solaris 9 as a CIFS server
I have a lab which consist of both Linux and Windows machines. I have a Solaris 9 x86 server which is handing out a SANS Storage Array to each of the machines. Solaris is using NFS to talk with the Linux boxes.
I know that i have to use CIFS to talk with the Windows boxes, but i do not fully understand how i set up CIFS on Solaris.
Do i have to use Samba in order to hand out with CIFS?
I'm just confused because everything i look up in regards to CIFS has "SMB/CIFS" and is referenced to Samba.
