Some problems with my 2003 server
I have one of my servers running Windows 2003 Server Standard. However, I've run into two problems. First off, when I nbtstat -a paranor it, I get back:
Code:
Name Type Status
---------------------------------------------
PARANOR <00> UNIQUE Registered
GINGLE <00> GROUP Registered
PARANOR <20> UNIQUE Registered
GINGLE <1E> GROUP Registered
Note that the 03 user name entry is not there. This problem breaks one of the utilities I use around the network.
Second, WMI doesn't seem to work on it. Regardless of whether it is done remotely or locally, my asset tracking app (that uses WMI, if you couldn't guess ) start throwing exceptions when it comes time to display the results, and Son of Snoop on Steroids pukes when it tries the server. Both apps are fine when pointed towards any other computer.
Any ideas on whats causing all this? Thanks.
