Test wireless access point

please suggest tools which can be used to test my wifi access point's usable bandwidth, throughput and other such stats. Any tools which can be used to benchmark such devices?

thanks in advance

Use two computers; one connected via wireless and one plugged into the network. Then run TFgen on one computer with the other computer as the destination and run Freemeter on the other so you can see what sort of speed you are getting.

Also if you experience a strange behavior - and that's why you're running the scan - you may find Wireshark and Snort useful for troubleshooting certain networks.
