Trouble Sharing Internet Connection With Xp
Hey, The problem I am having is that when i was trying to network for 4 pc's together (all XP) i was unsure of whether or not i had to share the internet connection (comcast cable) by installing two Nic Cards into the computer with the high speed modem or whether i could just use a router with a 4 port switch to share the internet connection with the PC's? I tried installing two NIC cards and enabling ICS on the internet connection and attatching another cable to the router to share the connection, but that didnt work Any Help or suggestions on this topic would be greatly appreciated -Thanks, Lee |

Plug the Internet connection directly into the router. Then, follow the instructions that came with your router to share the Internet to the other computers. Since you've got a router which should make setup easy, it doesn't really make sense to use ICS on a Windows XP PC.
