Trouble sharing printer among win2k machines not in domain

Hi there, I have this problem that I've been working on and could not fix. We have a domain down here and due to some company changes a few machines were taken out of this domain and moved into a workgroup. Now I installed a printer on a domain machine and shared it so that two other users can access it. The problem is although the machine is a domain member the user who is operating it is not. The other two users aren't members of the domain either. It comes down to this: nobody can print to that printer. The jobs are sent but they are never actually printed on paper. Eventually, an error pops up saying there was a problem connecting to it. If I log in as administrator, being a member of the domain, I can naturally print with no problems. But they're not so I have no clue as to how to make this share work. The users who are supposed to print to that printer have accounts and rights to the local machine on which the printer is installed. The guest account is also enabled. I don't know what to do. Ofcourse I do not have complete freedom therefore i cannot make all the machines part of either the same domain or workgroup. I need a way around this, can anybody help? Thank you.

Laurian

Perhaps there is some authentication issue. On the computers which are not joined to the domain, you're logged on with a specific username/password. Create a new account in the domain with a username/password which exactly matches the local account.

They may have rights to the local machine but do they have rights to the printer object itself? How was the printer installed on the local machine, with an admin account? Did you copy the admin account profile to the default user account and give everyone rights to it?
