trying to share dialup between win2k and win2k3...
Like it says above, im trying to share a dialup connection.
I'm doing this with 2 straight thru cables connected to a d-link di-604 cable/dsl router (got it for free)
I have the ICS enabled under the dialup properties for the LAN connection. it sets the ip to 192.168.0.1 but it does not work on the client pc.
I am also using the Kerio WinRoute Firewall and the permissions are set fine because I am typing this on the server pc, I also have dhcp server enabled and 2 ip's leased out. one for the server and one for the client. for some reason the server can ping the client but the client cant ping the server... i think that has something to do with it not being able to get to the internet too.. pls help!
err.... okay i got my xp to do ics with the win2k..... stupid work around but i want to know why does the xp ics work and the win2k wouldnt? wtf? also i noticed i cant run a dhcp server on the same machine im running ics on...cuz it has its own sort of dhcp...thats sucks...any way to work around that?
