Two routers better than one?

I recently added a router to my dd-wrt router and turn off dhcp. Now i connect my wireless clients to the new router and everything gets sent to and from there with the dd-wrt router. Does having a second router like improve security if someone wanted to attack me.

Unless you need to provide routing between two of your internal networks, don't use two routers.

Not really. It's like having two locked doors to your house with the same key. If someone can get bey one, they can probably get by the other.

So, technically, yes, there's two doors, but actually no, there isn't much security being added.
