unable to program router/modem
I have just setup a 2/3 computer home network. The system default is a 1 day licence / lease. No matter how I edit the sitecom router modem, to increase the time, it is not accepted by my computer.
I'm running on XP, requests for a new IP are not recognised by the Sitecom 214 home station. The only way I can keep online is to reinstal with factory settings. This wipes any settings I have changed. Can anyone help please? |

What do you mean by that? Often, even if you have DHCP enabled, your computer will keep the same IP address all the time. |

At the end of the 1 day factory default licence, the net connection is cut. As I cannot extend this period, I have to reinstall every day. |

What happens if you manually renew the IP address from within Windows?

How? when I try with 'repair', it comes up with 'unable to update IP address' |

That's what I meant. And when you reboot the computer, it doesn't renew either? |

I'm not sure. Is this something that perhaps you should contact Sitecom about?
If you can't resolve the issue, perhaps you should just manually assign all IP details for each computer. |
