You don't need a fax machine to get faxes. Get a fax-to-email fax number from CallWave. Try it free.

Viewing net sends
I set up a small network for my bussiness. Both myself and my employees use net send as a valid communication tool, but I am afraid that it may be being abused. I know that there is a way to view the net sends that my employees have sent each other without having to log onto each computer and check the event viewer, only I'm not sure how. Can anyone please tell me how?

I will answer this in two fashions. One if you are on a domain the other if you are not.
DOMAIN 1. If you are an administrator for the domain, bring up your event viewer on your PC then click file, and connect to another PC. Type in the name of the PC you want to view and it will bring up the event viewer of that PC so you can view all net sends. WORKGROUP 1. Bring up a command prompt and type this is in: net use \\(machine name)\ipc$ /user admin account)2. Then it will prompt your for the local admin account password. Once this is entered, go to your event viewer and follow the directions above to view its contents. Other than it being sent to you, or viewing the event viewer, there is no way to view these net sends. Rigas |
