VPN Running Slow
I was wondering why my VPN runs slowly when I connect to it from my home computer.
At work there is a Fast cable connection to the internet At home there is a Fast cable connection to the internet At work we use a FVS318 router, I was wondering if VPN is commonly slow because of data encryption and maybe bottlenecks in the tunnels? Or does the speed of computers on the works network have anything to do with slow browsing? - Cheers! |

encrypting data does slow it down as well the stronger the encryption the slower it will be. this is why I always recommend using High end gear ( which isnt much more expensive) for commercial VPN's as well as compatibility.
also your High speed internet is no where near the speed of the internal LAN at work. |
