Hello, I'm trying to fix a small business network running one Win2k server, a switch, a wireless access point hooked to the switch, and several workstations. I have set the server to control DHCP and the access point has it's settings turned off. We are all on a domain.
The problem is that I can only see myself in 'my network places' -> entire network. I have my workstation attached/wired to the wireless axx point. The other computers can see every computer that's on the switch, except for mine because it's on the wireless access point. I'm sure I have DHCP *off* on the access point, yet my address starts with 192.x.x.x, while everyone's elses machines start with 10.10.10.x ... Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thank you sooo much! Justin |

Try manually setting the static IP address of your computer to 10.10.10.x. Then, check that you can see the other computers. When you can, re-enable the automatic obtaining of the IP address, and it should stay in the 10.10.10.x group. You can always open up the Command Prompt and type "ipconfig /all" and check what the computer is using as the DHCP server, or you could use "ipconfig /renew" to try and renew your address.
