Win98 DCC networking woes...
Hi there.
Here is my problem. My laptop won't show up in it's own Network Neighbourhood. And when I try a Direct Cable Connection, it can't find the Hosting Machine.
I set up File Sharing, Virtual Private Networking and Direct Cable Connection on my laptop. In order to do this I had to do an online Windows update and manually replace some missing files. (dfs.vxd, vredir.vxd and msnp32.dll).
Now I can ping the Host machine, and it will show up in a NETSTAT but I can't connect to it from Windows!
I set up networking on the Host machine in exactly the same way and it works fine. It will list itself in the Network Neighbourhood and it can connect as a guest to the laptop.
Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved...
