Windows 2000 - Network Path Not Found (After Pest Patrol cleanup)
Ok guys, here's a question:
We have a network with several connections. I just came back to this company so I'm still learning the system. One of the user's complained about internet slowness, etc... so I used Pest Patrol and scanned away. Cleaned up about 400 pests. After the cleansing... what happens? All connections to the network or severed and I cannot figure out what happen. It seems as if the network is there, but its stuck in a hole and just can't connect. Its windows 2000 professional, on a Dell system, I believe PIII. Any advice please? I do believe that it is outdated in terms of service packs, so maybe that's an answer. Help! -Steve |

How is the computer obtaining an Ip address? If it is using a DHCP server, check that it has obtained an IP address correctly. Then, check if it can ping another computer on the network.

I'm not really sure what you mean, perhaps you could explain a little more. |
